Great book blog article on the way publishers and authors unjustly hype up books on Amazon. Trust the homegrown reviews and you'll won't be lead astray!
My Mission Statement explores the principles of an honest review and lays the rules for the science fiction and fantasy book reviews I will post here in the future. If it isn't great it doesn't make the list.

Hi there! I actually was looking for some good fantasy-fiction blogs too! Yours looks awesome by the way! :) Thanks for the mission statement, and yes I do get tired of going into Barnes and Noble and seeing so many synopses that it gets my head spinning. :)...as a matter of fact, that's why I wrote a book, because I thought I could do better than those books on the shelf. ;) I would love it if you took a look at my site! I'm always interested in solid reviews!
Thanks for your posts!!
God bless,

Heh, sneaky. I have to buy it to review it!
To be honest I'm not interested in Amazon book reviews.
Before I buy a book I
- try to get an excerpt
- read reviews on blogs which I trust
- try to google reviews
And I can tell you there are a lot of blogs which you can trust. The only thing you have to find out is: Do you and the blogger share the same taste.

By the way I added your blog to my google reader.
To be unbiased (or less biased), you should say when stuff is rubbish, too.
Besides, you can't say you have only great stuff when you have Terry Goodkind mentioned.

Thanks for the constructive criticism.
If you look at my Mission Statement you'll see that these are all science fiction and fantasy books that I think deserve a spot on the list; I make no pretension to having an authoritative or comprehensive list as the opinions and content are solely my own.
If you read the review you can tell that although I enjoyed the series and it is worth reading, I definitely have my misgivings. I even acknowledged those misgivings with a link to what I though was some hilarious criticism. As it stands, the Sword of Truth Series makes it on my top 10 only because this blog is brand spanking new. I have no doubt that it will get bummed soon enough.
