Alec's Reads
All in all, a solid look at some recent titles in fantasy, with a notable title to be released in 2010, which I highly recommend. Once again, I am short on the science fiction this past month, and not for lack of trying. Good fantasy just seems to abound, whereas I feel I have already put a significant dent in the population of respectable scifi books. Oh well, maybe next month.
The Left Hand of God (2010), Paul Hoffman - 448 pages. [US][UK]
Mistborn: The Hero of Ages (2008), by Brandon Sanderson - 784 pages. [US][UK]
Michael's Reads
Compared to August I doubled the number of books I read. I must admit I don't know how I managed this. That means for the everlasting fight between TBR pile and new books:
The Loch by Steven Alten [US][UK] - 544 pages.
Best Served Cold by Joe Abercrombie [US][UK] - 560 pages.
Sturmwelten - Unter Schwarzen Segeln by Christoph Hardebusch [DE] - 528 pages.
The Drowning City by Amanda Downum [US][UK] - 384 pages.
Grave Peril (The Dresden Files, #3) by Jim Butcher (2001) [US][UK] - 378 pages.
The Osiris Ritual by George Mann (2009) [US][UK] - 416 pages.

Alec, just this month you got around to Sanderson! What? ;) He is one my favorite authors this year!
Michael,
I just finished Joe ABs The Blade Itself and really liked it! I have the next two in the trilogy on my shlef waiting to be read.... How was Best Served Cold? Did you write a review, perhaps?
Great list you guys and there are so many books from that list I have on my TBR Babylon Tower. ;P I like that you have used stats to the list as well.
Krista,
originally Alec and I wanted to write the review of Best Served Cold together. But we changed plans. I need to discuss with Alec whom of us will write the review.
Harry, I like the stats because most of the time it is a surprise for me.
I assume with all your activities there is not much time left for reading.
