Bona Fide: Reading Meme

In August I posted about my reading habits. Last week a lot of book blogger wrote a lot of posts related to the Book Blogger Appreciation Week topics. Unfortunately I was busy with other things. Even BBAW is over now I would like to post my answers to the topic of day 3 named Reading Meme. Brevity was the goal of the day which ment to answer questions in five or less words. I read posts from other blogger like Kristen over at Fantasy Cafe who gave more extended answers. So I decided to accept the challenge and answer in 5 or less words or with a picture. Here we go:

Do you snack while you read? If so, favorite reading snack?
Yes, carrots.

Do you tend to mark your books as you read, or does the idea of writing in books horrify you?
Mark books is a sin.

How do you keep your place while reading a book? Bookmark? Dog-ears? Laying the book flat open?
Nothing else than bookmarks.

Fiction, Non-fiction, or both?
Both, but more fiction.

Hard copy or audiobooks?
Audiobooks let me fall asleep.

Are you a person who tends to read to the end of chapters, or are you able to put a book down at any point?
End of chapter reader.

If you come across an unfamiliar word, do you stop to look it up right away? What are you currently reading?
Always a dictionary beside me.

What is the last book you bought?

Are you the type of person that only reads one book at a time or can
you read more than one at a time?
Often three books parallel.

Do you have a favorite time of day and/or place to read?
Sofa.

Do you prefer series books or stand alone books?
Series, minimum trilogy.

Is there a specific book or author that you find yourself recommending over and over?
George R.R. Martin

How do you organize your books? (By genre, title, author’s last name, etc.?)
No order, space problems.

I think I mastered the challenge including the recommended author and last book I bought where it was helpful to use a pic.
And now it is up to you to comment. Looking forward to your answers.

I did that one as well. So you are a carrot person. Never would have figured. :) I have been meaning to get my Martin books, but no time no money as usual. *sigh*

Harry,
yes I'm a carrot person. In former times I preferred sweets but that wasn't good for my weight.
I always try to buy paperbacks due to price and space.

Heh, are tastes are very similar, although I tend to do one book at a time. The only time I don't do that is when I have to put down a book because it sucks. Then again, I also read very quickly, so it isn't ever really a problem.

I concur on R.R. but I always remind people that his latest series is too long in the making. But the older (standalone) books are all fantastic, with the exception of Windhaven which had a cop-out ending.

Mmm, Karotten...

Dave,

yes Karotten. More healthy than sweets and less dangerous for my belly :-)
